Since 2009, the Michael Roos Foundation Fish & Chip Celebrity Weekend has welcomed more than 65 NFL players and legends from across the country to the beautiful Inland Northwest. Scheduled for June 20-22, 2014, Spokane will play host to this unique multi-day celebrity event which benefits the Michael Roos Foundation as well as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County and other children's organizations.
During the weekend, NFL superstars are paired with local participants and sponsors to create unforgettable teams that compete in a fun-filled bass fishing tournament and golf tournament. These tournaments are intended for every skill level and serve as the perfect opportunity to spend time getting to know the guys you've only ever seen play on football Sunday.
Over the years, some of the NFL's biggest names have participated in the Fish & Chip Tournament, including: Jared Allen, Dick Butkus, Kenny Easley, Randy Moss, Golden Tate, Roy Lewis, Matt Hasselbeck, Jake Scott, David Stewart, Jake Locker and of course, EWU alum and current Tennessee Titan, Michael Roos.
